Welcome to the PR Week's Claire Murphy
Claire MurphyEditor

At PRWeek UK we've been extending our coverage of the international PR scene over the past two years.

News stories within our global email bulletins have plotted the expansion of agencies as they follow in the wake of the increasingly professional use of PR in organisations across the world.

We've published dedicated Middle East supplements, highlighting the fascinating developments in this mercurial market. We've also been publishing snapshots of the PR scene in various countries experiencing growth.

Now this, our Global Thinktank, brings all this content together. We'll be commissioning opinion pieces from PR specialists across the globe, hosting the views of leading in-house comms people, and bringing you inspiring case studies and snapshots of how comms is practised in a wide range of countries. We aim to make this the online equivalent of a global communications conference – one that, for once, requires no airline ticket or jet lag.

New this week is a piece on PR in The Netherlands, including links to a variety of campaigns. My favourite? The sweet, self-deprecating short film made by paint company Akzo-Nobel, to mark the departure of its CEO - a deserving hit on social media.

Signing up to our bulletins (below) will bring you links to all the latest content, each week. You can also follow us on Twitter @PRWeekThinktank.
